The Coastal Progressives’ Immigration Information Response Team will be meeting Saturday, July 23, 11 a.m., at the Centro de Ayuda office, 410 SW 9th St. in Newport. The agenda will include a review of our recent communications with the Lincoln County sheriff and data from the jail records, planning for the August Immigration and Human Rights joint display with Interfaith Peace and Justice in the Newport Public Library, and discussion of a possible local news site for the Spanish-speaking population.
