No Soy El Army Justice Tour: Newport
28
The Peace Tour will be an opportunity to build bridges and have a dialogue about the future of peace and what the cost of war means to Oregon. Young people and their families are especially invited to help open this dialogue between the traditional peace community and Spanish-speaking and Latino communities about war, peace, racism and liberation in our own towns. Translators available.
Jesus Palafox is a student and an organizer for the Youth and Militarism project and the Truth in Recruiting program of the American Friends Service Committee in Illinois. The Newport event is co-sponsored by Coastal Progressives of Lincoln County, the Interfaith Community for Peace and Justice of Lincoln County, and the Veterans for Peace of Lane County. The Oregon Tour was organized by the Rural Organizing Project, American Friends Service Committee and PCUN.
